NautilusThe Nautiloides were spread in the sea waters, where they lived at any depht. Because of their tendency not to remain in the proximity of the seabed, it's likely that the rocks containing their fossil remains do not correspond to the environment in which they had lived. Ammonites extibecame extinct at the end of Cretaceous, while the Nautiloides survived enough to be found in Cenozoic rocks.
